KEMPER Leak Detection System

Sure protection against flooding in all buildings

The problem Water damage caused by leaks in drinking water systems can cause enormous amounts of damage. Systems and supply lines are components that require critical consideration which entail the risk of flooding. A leak can lead to the destruction of highly-sensitive inventory such as in data processing rooms and in archives. In office buildings, business interruptions can also mean losing customers. The loss of data and the time until restoration are extremely expensive. When intangible assets are affected in the private sphere, the personal loss is usually irreplaceable. In seasonally used properties (e.g. holiday flats) that are not supervised for long periods of time, the consequence of leaks can be immense damages.

Prevention with the KEMPER Leak Detection System

The solution
Leak detection with sensor systems:
Dedicated detection of accidental water prevents enormous consequential costs. As soon as the water sensor detects a leak, it forwards a pulse to the leak controller. That in turn triggers reliable cut-off of the involved drinking water line through impact-free closing of the KEMPER KHS isolating valve according to BS EN 13828.

Safety through time-controlled protection
Safety through individual programming: On top of the basic settings of the leak monitor, time-controlled time intervals can be programmed to open and close the safety valves. That cuts off the respective supply line during absence or non-use, e.g. after closing time.

Advantages at a glance

  • Sure detection of a leak using water sensors with immediate stoppage of the drinking water system
  • Space-saving, easy-to-retrofit solution for all types of buildings in inventory and new construction
  • DVGW-approved full bore isolating valve without pressure surge during closing/opening according to BS EN 13828
  • Timer programming facilitates automatic prevention when leaving the building or during long absences
  • Acoustic and visual alarm message on the leak controller warns of the leak
  • Forwarding of the alarm to the building management system (BMS) possible
  • Prevention of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) through regularly scheduled water exchange (maintenance of intended use)
